Are You Ready or Not:  How to Develop a Company Disaster Action Plan, Storm Mitigation Program, or Family Disaster Plan.

Natural and man-made disasters are happening with more frequency and becoming prepared is an on-going process. The first step is identifying what risks you may have whether you are a company or family and then creating an emergency plan to mitigate against the possible hazards. A company disaster plan can be as simple as having a reporting system to keep track of employees and who is available to work. More detailed plans can be created by creating a specific action plan to account for employee safety, determine asset damage and keep the business running. For a family disaster plan, the supplies, food and water needs can be determined and compiled for every member along with any special needs including pets. Training is provided to create effective disaster preparation kits or go bags that include all the supplies necessary to sustain life for at least 72 hours. This talk and training can be altered according to the needs of each client and can be a one-hour talk or day-long training session.
